Dutch

  • opgefokt == uptight(?)(correct me here, Sinaas!)
  • a nuf == very happy with self
  • kaas -- cheese
  • duizendpoot (== centipede
  • noodzaak == necessary
  • geschokt == shocked

  • opkalefateren (not sure of the spelling on this one) == fixing something up in a dodgy way
  • gasten == slang for "people"
  • trekaak == tow-bar
  • lekker == yummy
  • tocht == draft
  • grapjas == joke-maker (literally: jokecoat (i think; handwriting is bad on that one >.>)
  • gezellig == very close in friendship or affection
  • ogenschijnlijk == ostensibly
  • de rapen zijn gaar == The Kohlrabi is done (said when in a pickle)
  • vingersmid == extreme good finger (good fine motor skills)
  • jeetje == sheesh?
  • vertederd =="when you look at someone with a smile & with your head crooked"; moved
  • laatdunkend == formal exression contempt (hah! a cussword! i know how to cuss in Dutch!)( except it's not a cuss, but a very owlish word )
  • hoogstwaarschijnlijk == mostly, probably
  • alhoewel == albeit
  • kijkbuiskinderen == Mr. Owl's favourite children
  • poepiedrollie == What one says to a child when pat-patting samesuch on the head. (its meaning gets "lost in the translation" apparently)( because litteral ' little piece of excrement)
  • vergrootglas == magnifying glass
  • floeksak == Sinaas says, "It's my favourite word! It doesn't mean anything, but I like to say it... like an in between word" (drazzy suggests that perhaps it means something like "y'know")
  • zoop == "The past form for drinking excessively alcoholic beverages" so say Sinaas.


Hungarian

  • Koszonom szepen draga woozlekam == Thank you very much, my dear little Woozle
  • koszi = Thanks
  • hulyeseg = Crazyness
  • fenyes = shiny

German

  • Langweiligkeit (Langeweile) == Boredom
