Subject: [Fwd: ORDER #D3546] and another thing

D3546

Going thru the restock database, I noticed that the "Great Wyrm" shirt is no longer available in Medium. We ordered it from LB in the most recent restock, and they put it on the invoice as "backordered" -- does this mean they will be reprinting it after all, or they just didn't bother to mention that it's gone when we placed the order and their form doesn't have any way to convey "SOL"? I'm guessing the latter.

We already shipped the other shirt, late because of some kind of snafu of which I don't seem to have much record.

So, given that it would be a bit of a hard sell to get any more $ out of this guy what with the snafu over the other shirt, I'm inclined just to quietly cancel the Wyrm shirt -- but I thought I'd let you know, just in case your understanding of the situation puts a different light on it.

other thing

I guess the Mountain stuff didn't get ordered today. I think we need to implement the plan of me emailing in restock orders and [you] calling them only to confirm and/or convey payment information etc. The question is: do you know what email address we should use for The Mountain these days? How about Liquid Blue? Whenever we get a new salesman, that should be the first question: what email address should we use for sending in orders? (Unless the supplier has a standard email address for orders, e.g. orders@themountain.com.)

Just so the point doesn't get lost -- we need to be able to place restocks quickly, once all the pieces are in place. This time most of the delay was me -- I had to finish writing and testing the card-testing routines, and then I had to actually test the cards -- but I was ready by about 2pm today, which should have been plenty of time to get an order in.

You should have been aware that time was of the essence (all the more so with today being Friday) and let me know if you weren't going to be (or might not be) available to place the order today (or after a certain time today, or whatever your schedule constraint was) so I would have known that it was on me to do it or let it slide until Monday.

Thanks,

N.

If I'm understanding this correctly, I would only need to send them $112 to meet their request. I will balance the books over the weekend and make sure that won't cause trouble, and send the check on Monday.

On Monday, could you call them and (1) let them know we are sending the check and (2) find out what the delivery options are? Is the default plan to send the pieces to San Antonio and then drop-ship via relatively inexpensive means? Do we have the option of drop-shipping from Mexico if a customer wants their piece soonest, and what kinds of numbers would we be looking at for the shipping cost in either case?

Thanks,

N.

Bubba,

Your order of items TCM-10 and TC-891 will be ready for shipment from Mexico in about 2 weeks, our factory has a back log due to increased demand.

If you still want this order please submitt the corresponding 50% deposit. Total for the order is $224.00 ($112.00 per piece).

Best regards,
Carlos Santos
