FTW is an acronym which stands for For The Win, an expression often used to indicate approval or effectiveness. For example: "Frozen Trout found in five seconds the answer I had been looking for all day. Trouty and Google FTW!"
It is highly ironic that FTW backwards is WTF, an acronym for an expression of nearly opposite meaning.
